The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) is a constitutional authority responsible to keep an audit of the receipts in terms of the expenditure of the Government of India and that of the state governments so that the whole process of auditing is less tedious and easier for themselves. CAG always stresses value-for-money audit, but given the CAG’s constitutional status it is an opportunity to reinforce integrity of public finance.

Selection Process
Written Test: Objective and/or descriptive tests based on auditing principles, accounting, financial management and general awareness.
Interview / Personal Interaction: Shortlisted candidates for the positions will have a panel-interview, with the purpose of assessing both the interpersonal and professional competencies of each candidate.
Final Merit List: Will be based on each candidate’s performance in the written test and interview.
Offer and Training: a letter of appointment will be issued to successful candidates, with appointment at the next convenience following service-induction training.
